Good Partner 2 premieres on SBS on Friday, November 20, 2026, at 9:50 p.m. KST, airing every Friday and Saturday, according to SBS. It is on Netflix in South Korea only, What's on Netflix reports; outside Korea it is reported to stream on Rakuten Viki and Viu in supported territories, so availability varies by region. The season has 16 episodes, per What's on Netflix and Korean outlet Wikitree.

Jang Na-ra returns as divorce lawyer Cha Eun-kyung, now heading her own firm, with Kim Hye-yoon (Lovely Runner) joining as her new partner. The show takes over the slot vacated by Doctor X: Mafia in White, which ends on November 14.

Where to watch Good Partner 2, by region

Where you are Platform Status (as of 2026-11-05)
South Korea (TV) SBS, Fri–Sat 9:50 p.m. KST Confirmed by SBS
South Korea (streaming) Netflix (Korea only) Reported by What's on Netflix
Countries where Viu operates Viu Reported by What's on Netflix; Viu simulcast season 1 as a regional original (ContentAsia)
Countries where Viki holds the rights Rakuten Viki Reported by What's on Netflix; no season 2 page found on Viki at the time of writing
Anywhere else Check JustWatch or your local apps Not announced

Neither Viki nor Viu had published its own season 2 listing at the time of writing, so the table reflects What's on Netflix's report rather than a platform announcement. Which of the two serves a given country depends on separate licensing deals, and some countries may get neither. Season 1's Viki page, for example, is geo-blocked in some regions.

The Netflix confusion has a simple cause. SBS sells streaming rights territory by territory, so a drama can sit on Netflix in Korea while other services hold it everywhere else. SBS's Nine to Six works the same way, with Prime Video outside Korea. Our guide to how to watch K-dramas legally explains how these deals work and which services cover which regions.

Tip: based on current reports, Netflix won't carry season 2 outside Korea, so searching the Netflix app abroad will likely come up empty. Check Viki and Viu first.

What's it about? (No spoilers)

According to SBS and Soompi, season 2 opens with Cha Eun-kyung leaving her old firm to run her own divorce practice. Kang Hye-sung is the experienced lawyer who becomes her new partner. The season also follows clients' lives after the divorce is finalised, not just the cases themselves.

Do you need to watch season 1 first?

Not strictly. Season 2 is built around a new partnership and a new firm, so it is pitched as a fresh starting point. Season 1 is still worth it if you have time:

  • What it covers: 16 episodes, aired July to September 2024, following Cha Eun-kyung's own divorce alongside her cases. It peaked at 17.7% viewership, according to Korea JoongAng Daily.
  • Where it streams: What's on Netflix lists Viki, Wavve and Apple TV for season 1; Viu carried it as a regional original in 2024, per ContentAsia. Availability varies by region.

Our take: if you're short on time, watch season 1's first two episodes for the setup, then go straight to season 2. The premiere weekend will show how much it leans on season 1; this page will note it if the answer changes.

Still unconfirmed

  • Viki and Viu season 2 listings, including which countries each covers and the upload time.
  • Episode count from SBS itself: 16 comes from What's on Netflix and Korean media.
  • Any schedule breaks after the premiere weekend, and the finale date.

This page will be updated as SBS and the platforms confirm details. For everything else premiering this month, see our November 2026 K-drama schedule.
